Computational Biologist

Carolina is a computational biologist in the Cardiometabolic Disease Program of the Broad Institute of MIT and Harvard. She received her M.S. in Biology and her M.S. in Biostatistics at the Ludwig-Maximilians-University in Munich. She gained experience analyzing various electrocardiographic and cardiovascular traits in genome-wide association studies (GWAS) at the Institute of Genetic Epidemiology (Helmholtz Zentrum Munich). She is interested in investigating genetic variation of heart disease in GWAS and sequencing studies and subsequently integrating these results and gene expression data into pathway network analysis.
