Namrata Gupta completed her Ph.D. in 1999 at McGill University in the Department of Pharmacology and Therapeutics with laboratory research at Merck Frosst. She became interested in human genetics during her post-doctoral fellowship where she studied stem cell differentiation and Huntington’s Disease. Since then she has held research scientist positions in various genetics oriented biotechs working in various fields, including neuroscience and metabolic disease. Since 2010, Namrata has been at The Broad Institute and is a senior project manager. She manages a portfolio of projects and project managers/coordinators in the Medical and Population Genetics and Cancer Programs. She supports all projects from the Kathiresan lab that are executed at The Broad Institute.
