Pradeep trained in the laboratory from 2014-2017 as a post-doctoral research fellow.
During his time in the lab, he was supported by the NIH/NHLBI 2T32HL007208-36 and the John S. LaDue Memorial Fellowship in Cardiology at Harvard Medical School.
A key research contribution during this period of training was defining and demonstrating a framework of discovering ‘human knockouts’ and leveraging such homozygous putative loss-of-function genotypes for biological and therapeutic insights; this work was published in Nature. In addition, he used studied the biological and clinical relevance of rare disruptive DNA sequence mutations with respect to clinical and subclinical cardiometabolic traits.
Pradeep is currently the Director of Preventative Cardiology at Massachusetts General Hospital, Assistant Professor of Medicine at Harvard medical School, and Associate Member of the Broad Institute of Harvard & MIT.
